My upload speed is about 20-30mbps, so I should be able to stream at a higher bitrate, I’d assume. Support H.264 or HEVC video encoding and AAC-LC audio encoding Stream easily to YouTube, Twitch and Facebook Live Stream to custom-specified RTMP or RTMPS.
Not sure why I can’t go higher than that (even when set to 8000kbps in OBS). I’ve heard mixed things about the max bitrate allowed on Twitch, so I’ve tried both 6000kbps and 8000kbps, but my stream only gets around 5900kbps bitrate according to Twitch inspector. I’ve tried 864p 60fps also, but I’m experiencing the same artifacting/pixelation. My main issue is that I get terrible artifacting on stream, so I’m thinking I may need to bring the resolution down. I’m currently trying to stream at 1080p 60fps, but I’ve been getting really bad artifacting in faster-paced gameplay.Ĭurrently using the Apple H264 Hardware encoder, which hasn’t been dropping frames at all, according to OBS.
Does anyone have any recommendations for what encoder settings I should use on my Mac mini? I’ve been using the NDI plugin to send the stream from my gaming PC over to the Mac to handle the encoding.
